Nepotism in Bollywood Industry

Is there really nepotism in Bollywood? Let’s check the facts. As of 1st January 2020, the population of India was estimated to be 1, 387, 297, 452. More than half of all Indian households own a television.
There are around 857 channels approximately. Many highly rated channels hold dancing and singing competitions each week. And thousands if not millions participate and only few get through finals and win the prizes.
Let’s say 10 channels produce one singer and dancer over a period of time. Therefore 10 best singers and 10 best dancers produced by these channels every six months. We are not talking about the young and kids. Only the matured stars produced per year is 40. In five years we have 200 of them.
Yet if we do check the star-cast in most movies, there are none from outside the industry. Very few make towards TV shows and most end up losing all their hopes and money they either acquired from family or friends. Some even get disappointed in extent to commit a suicide.
Looking at the singers you will find none are new, let alone those who come from other countries to try their luck. These would either end in collecting garbage or singing in the restaurants. Not because they have good voice but because there is no chance to get in.

Most senior actors not only have boycotted award ceremonies but also have openly confessed the setup that is being used to promote the chosen ones. Winning the awards means taking a strong foothold in the market. Winning awards also means more commercials and more movies the actor will put in his pocket. But this all does not come as complimentary. Every action has equal and opposite reaction.
Why it is difficult to eradicate these practices while everyone knows the truth? Because many people think these humans are saints or angels. In one award function, a man whose age will be around 55, went on the stage and touched the feet of an actor who was half his age. This act not only shows blindness the audience has for their idols, but also how less they know about God and how completely they are immersed in movie world.
